CSS3, HTML5, Javscript, frontend web development blog
You can't really call this a blog yet, but I plan to quickly change that. This blog will be a spinning of ideas about new web technologies which I think can change the Internet. Besides technology I'll also discuss various concepts and the work web-guru's do.
Version 2 online
The second version of digitaalcv.nl is here. It looks a lot nicer using various new CSS3 functions. Also, the DOM is now much cleaner using new HTML5-tags. I don't use the static-page model anymore, because the SEO was not good. The underlying CMS is more secure and has some new features.
The performance is still very nice, scoring 100 points in Google Page Speed plugin on most pages. If you look at the source of this page you will see all CSS and most of the Javascript is minified and inlined. This is faster than loading different files because the files are very small. It's even faster than browser-cache. The font I use for titles takes a long time to load, so maybe i'll get rid of this.
Version 1 online
The first version of digitaalcv.nl is now live. Over the coming period I will make a number of changes in the structure of the site and possibly the underlying technology to further improve it.
In terms of speed this site, in my view, performs perfectly. I chose a static page-model where JavaScript changes the page. Performance continues to be important, even on the client side. If you have javascript enabled you will see a search-box on the top right of this page, which is completely client side.
